Customer Team Lead Processing Industry Europe

We are Pop Vriend Seeds, a specialized seed breeding company in the Netherlands. We export our vegetable seeds to over 100 countries worldwide, including the United States, China and Africa. Our headquarters is located in Andijk, in the heart of Seed Valley, the Netherlands.


To bring our customer team for our processing customers in Europe up to speed, we are looking for a Customer Team Lead for the processing industry in Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for the performance of the Customer Team that manages our key accounts in processing markets in Europe. For these key accounts, the Customer Team manages a focussed portfolio of processing beans and spinach varieties. You will coach a team of Account Managers and help them develop their full potential. Of course, every step you take with the team is aimed at adding value for our processing customers and contributing to positive sales results.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will deliver sales results through the customer specialized team for the processing market in Europe. For this, you will set sales, profitability and market share goals.
  • You are responsible for the development of your team, the people and the organization in the region.
  • You will design and steer customer crop team strategies, leading to a differentiated customer approach and to the growth and retention of share of wallet.
  • You will lead change management during the implementation of our new customer centric organization and the integration process of Pop Vriend Seeds in the KWS business unit Vegetables.
  • You will lead the design and implementation of the Customer Team plan for our European processors.

Wij vragen

To seed your future, you’ve got the following skills and experience:

  • A relevant degree and a minimum of 3 or more years’ experience in leading international sales and marketing teams, preferably in the vegetable seeds industry.
  • Profound knowledge of the business, its processes, customer needs, dynamics, drivers and interdependencies.
  • The ability to lead teams and dealers through a vision about next steps and the ability to develop customer solutions in the value chain.
  • Proven experience in managing sales and reaching quantitative and qualitative targets.
  • The capability to build high performing international teams, based on trust, collaboration and diversity.
  • A global organization perspective, cultural versatility and the ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Other languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel (25-35%).
